Electric gremlin...
OK, I know I am not the only one that has had this problem. My door switch seems to be not working thus my truck thinks the door is ajar and keeps the interior light on. Very annoying. It has only happened to me a few times but once at night was enough to get me to pull the fuse. I would like to fix it but cannot seem to find the door open sensor. Can anyone help??
Also, my overdrive button has not worked in forever. I replaced the switch but it changed nothing. I was thinking that maybe it would be a relay?? Dunno.
If it matters, my truck is a 99 f250 sd 5.4 Thanks. KP

As far as the sw its connected to the door latch. I understand that if you loosen the torx bolts and pull the door panel off you can reach inside and twist the old one out. And put a new one in.

That door ajar problem sounds to me like you need the Good ole WD40 shot of lube up into the latch mechanism, I recall my 99' doing that , and after the lube up it was fine,,,
