GPS Navigation Suggestion
We recently rented a car for a 30 day trip in Canada and the rental agency wanted $10.95 a day for GPS navigation. Since my 2015 F150 didn't' have a GPS system, I decided to buy a Garmin GPS for about $200 to use while renting then have a GPS when I returned home. WOW! What a great idea. The Garmin comes with lifetime updates and is far superior to the system in my wife's Subaru as it has better options (and a much more pleasant voice)! As an older driver, having a GPS helps navigation and is recommended my mature driver training. Plus, it paid for itself by avoiding the rental fee. In addition, I preplanned all daily routes before leaving home, adding desired stops and route alternatives. I packed it in my carryon - no issues with TSA and I had it in case my luggage was delayed.
Hope this suggestion helps... PS - I plan to keep this GPS and not buy one of the factory options in the future, as its exactly what I wanted in a nav system.
