DS2 short

Hey guys I was working replacing my lifters and think I may have damaged the old wring harness in my wheel well because now I’m not getting the truck to start and the dizzy is sparking when it touches the block or any other metal. Think it’s a short in the system somewhere but can’t be sure. Maybe it’s weakening my spark? Or is this normal? Thanks for the tips been busting *** all day just to have this issue arise when trying to start her up.

The distributor must touch the block, it's a important ground in the ignition system. If you have the key on, it will most likely spark. If the key is off, then you have something going on there. I would unplug the plugs to the module and see if it stops, and or unplug the connector on the coil and see if it stops. You should not have power at either place with the key off.
