Vin Confusion
Hello, I have a 1966 4x4, VIN code says F26 and 120 inch wheelbase. I have been looking for a bed and just to be sure, measure today and got 132 inches on the wheelbase, same as a F350......Is this common for the door vin and actual dimensions not match?

If the door was changed and they brought the donor warranty tag along, then you'll get the wrong VIN, dimensions, equipment etc.
Is the VIN on the title the same as the door tag?
Have you found the VIN on the frame?

Just checked, the VIN on the frame is same as the door. We did some more looking and appears somebody added 12 inches to the frame, just ironic it came out to 132, same as F350. Whomever did it, did a good job! Now we know, probably why it had a flat bed on it.

Sounds like the flat bed came off of or was intended to be installed onto a F350.
Does it appear that the previous owner installed a F350 driveshaft too?

Or you could find an F350 nine foot Wrongbed, which theoretically should fit.
If your back of cab to rear axle centerline measurement matches the dimension in the link below, the nine foot box should fit....
