By way of intro: pretty new to this group, have been in the 99-03 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel group for several years, and now have "inherited" a 2020 F150 3.5EB...
Do all of the F-150s come with no wheel well liner installed? It looks like there are a lot of aftermarket liners available - does anyone have any experience with a particular brand (pros or cons) that they'd be willing to share? We live several miles off pavement and things (i.e. paint, wiring, etc.) will take a beating from rocks and accumulated mud/snow.
Base models did not come on the 2015 MY that I have, but I thought that Lariat and up had them as standard. That is my recollection. I added the OEM ones to mine, and it's my opinion that the liners make the appearance much better. More "finished" for lack of a better term. The OEM ones were a piece of cake to install.
My 2018 Lariat came with the "felt" front wheel liners, nothing in the back. I opted for the Husky liners for the rear. They were an easy install, and I've have been happy with them. I have no experience wuth other brands, so I can't help in comparisons. I also added them to my 2019 F250, same experience(s).
Huskys for mine ,I did take a box cutter to trim them up ,you could tell they didn't spend alot of time on trimming, I used the mounting stuff they came with but little screws would get loose and so I used some pop rivets and now they are solid
I have the OEM liners in mine and they have served me well. On the truck prior to this one, I had Husky liners. They were fine, but I prefer the fit of the OEM liners.
Installed Husky liners on mine when I first bought the truck new. Been a while but I can't remember having any fitment or installation issues. Also installed Bushwhacker flares at the same time and for the same reason...I drive mainly dirt/gravel roads and the gravel coming off the tires removes the paint from the wheel wells if they are not protected.
Thanks for all of the info guys, and apologies for my delayed response - fighting a miserable cold/cough and kind of low on Hp right now. I expect I'll order a set of liners, and maybe flares (Black Friday deal???).
My '19 Platinum did not come with rear wheel liners. I bought and installed the OEM ones and the fitment was perfect. My '14 Lariat didn't come with them either. I can't remember what brand I had on that one but don't think it was OEM.
