Brake system question

I recently changed my rear drum brakes to rear disc and I’m still running the factory master and proportioning valve disc/drum I have disc up front from factory but my question is do I need to change my master cylinder and proportioning valve to disc/disc?

Master yes as the disc uses more fluid but the drum side has a valve built in to keep a little pressure on the drum side of the system to over come the springs.
They say you can remove this valve by pulling the flare seat from the master and the valve & spring behind it and put the flare seat back in.

For the proportioning valve I dont think there is a difference as it is used to balance (proportioning) the front & rear to keep from locking up the rears early.

How dose the brakes work now?
Think I would swap master for a disc / disc one and see how it stops.

im currently doing final touches on the truck getting it running and I remember I needed to see if I had to buy a new master cylinder I bought a new proportionating valve and installed it because the lines rusted

When you bought the new proportionating valve did they list it as a drum / disc or disc / disc?
I have not looked just for the valve but I dont think I have ever see them listed that way just proportionating valve.
You know they make an adjustable one you can install if the balance front / rear is not right, look at the on line speed stores.
They are used mostly in racing but some use them on the street also.
