so, I am going to explain what i think happened...
I was late to an appointment, ran the truck well below the 1/4 tank mark, when i parked it was on a nose downhill situation, i believe there was so little fuel that the pickup was sucking air, that idid not test properly for power at the fuel pump which caused the no start, so with that i still don;t understand why all the dash lights stayed on after gp cycle
Everything is working correctly now, except the battery light stays on after the gp cycle , goes off once the truck is running. This still has me scratching my head. Maybe it has always stayed on just never noticed, but now i am looking at the dash more??
Anyhow just want to say thanks to everyone that talked me through things !

With the Glow Plugs on (cycle) with the voltage being pulled, pulls the battery down 'around' 11.5v... ie. 'low bat' light. The light is doing what it should. Once truck starts.... (GPR off) bat returns to 'normal'.... 12.6v and the Alt is pushing in more voltage.... light goes out. Remember that the Glow Plugs will most likely stay on for a minute, even after the 'wait to start' light goes out.
