I hopped into the truck to head home from work, fired up some tunes for the ride, and noticed something important was missing: Where's my bass?? Dang sub-woofer isn't working, @#&$**!
I guess I'm going to have to dig behind the rear seat to see if I'm lucky, and perhaps a wire connection vibrated loose, but I'm not optimistic. Are these typically covered under warranty (or am I SOL)?
If it turns out that the sub-woofer is now pinin' for the fjords, I guess I'm going to have to decide whether to replace it with the same unit by Ford, or start looking around for an aftermarket replacement... Another item to add to the To-Do List... sigh.
Well, so much for warranty replacement (unless my aftermarket extended warranty covers it, I'll have to check).
I wasn't too awfully impressed with it to begin with, so I might just skip it and buy a powered sub-woofer and put it under the driver or passenger seat. Hello, Crutchfield
