2003 X 7.3 4R100.. transmission is installed and I have the pan off doing some maintenance (filter and fluid are new). Is there anything else I should do while Im in there that I can do while trans is installed? any thing special or different about these internals that you can see from image? thanks for your input.

 

I'm not a trans expert. But under the yellow cover there I believe are your solenoids. You could throw money in there if you're chasing after better shifting. Not sure if your filter came with an O ring. But it might. Maybe a transmission guy reads this post and has some input for you.

 

The only thing I can add is to remove the o-ring that is in the pump inlet. The new filter will have a new o-ring.

 

Alright she is going back together! Fixed dip stick tube leak and shift shaft seal. The pin was a PITA. Happy truckin!
