'04 6.0L PSD Problems?

'04 6.0L PSD Problems?
I have been told by my dealer that my ordered 6.0L F250 build date is the week of 12.08.03. I told them that I would not accept a truck with an an engine build date prior to 10-01-03. But now I am hearing of problems with engine build date after that.
I am supposed to have my new truck delivered around Christmas time. But considering all the issues FMC has had with this engine, I am wondering if I will be visited by Santa , or the Grinch.
I would appreciate any and related all comments, especially Ford diesel mechanics, who mignt be looking in.

my new 6.0 L deisel will be here about X-mas too. the new 6.0 deisel has the 7 new designs changes to the engine and I feel we should be OK. I had all the problems you could think of with my 03, 6.0L deisel, Ford tried there very best to fix it and it was one problem after another, I am sure we will be Very Happy with our new 04 Trucks ROB

Thanks for the reply. Your faith in FMC is hearting to me..That you had problems with the '03, and you turn right around an buy an '04 shows you believe the problems will be fixed, or not that troublesome.
