Ignition Control System

Hi, I woonder If I can get some help with this.?
I have a 1974 F100, 2 WD. It has a 302 engine.
As you may know, the ignition control system is attached to the inside of the fender, next to the spring of the hood. A few days ago, it appeared this unit was leaking, and noticed it is losing the resine.
I tried buying a new one, the one it has is a Motorcraft, and bought a replacement according to the year of production, 1974 indicated on the door. Well I received it and found that it has the two plugs, one with 4 pins, and another with 2, however mine has 4 in one plug, same type of plug, and 3 in the other, with different tyes of plug than the new one.
- Any idea where I can get this early type og Ignition control system ?
- Any idea how to repair the one that is losing the resine ? (thinking of trying some epoxy glue that come in a two barrel syringe )
- Can the new type be adapted, or do I need to change all the ignition system ?
- Where could I buy the original spare?
Appreciate some help.

When the resin melts that is a sign that the module has gotten hot and you might as well replace it. Good luck getting that melted stuff of the inner fenderwell. Shop around for the correct wired one.

Ignition modules,
74 (black grommet) and 75 (green grommet) are year specific and will not interchange. 76 to 79 (blue grommet) are interchangeable.
Ignition modules: 1974 is 1974 ONLY / 1975 is 1975 ONLY.
Blue module introduced in 1976 was used well into the 1990's.D4AZ-12A199-C 1974 only
DuraSpark ignition modules identified by a colored plastic insert located above where the wires feed out.
2 others: One has a redplastic insert, the other has a yellowor brownplastic insert.
Redmodule is D7AZ-12A199-Aused in some CA vehicles ONLY.
D9AZ-12A199-C(replaced D8AZ-12A199-A). One of these modules isyellow , one is brown.
These modules were used in 1978/79 302 & 351M/W vehicles sold in high altitudes only. 351W: Passenger Cars & Econolines only.
1U2Z-12A199-AA(replaced D6AZ-12A199-B - D7AZ-12A199-B - D8VZ-12A199-A - D9VZ-12A199-A) .. Ignition Module -blueinsert (Motorcraft DY-893) / Available from Ford dealerships, most auto parts stores and many vendors.

Thanks

Hi, THANK YOU very much for your help.

The pick up production is 1974. The grommet is black.
I manage to read the 12A199, previous to that not clear but can read D5A then probably a C, not the same than the D4AZ you mention, ( the 5 can read clearly )

Do you know any that has 7 cables ?

Appreciate the time you took. Do you any than could have a 5, considering a Export model ? 302 engine ?

MANY thanks to all the links for spares you sent me.
