Having issues with my truck about a month ago my truck died and would not start without starting fluid. Once started I could Rev the engine but when I tried to drive it it would die I replaced the injectors and that fixed the problem for like two days now same situation list of things I've replaced. High pressure fuel pump and filter all injectors fuel pressure regulator, starter, distributor the whole thing spark plugs and wires, map sensor, IAC, throttle position sensor throttle body throttle cable fuel relay I'm in need of any kind of help I'm at my wits end but I love my old f150 and don't want to get rid of it
Same situation as in it would start with starting fluid? If so, why did you replace all those other parts? Do you hear the fuel pump(s) turn on when the key is turned to RUN? What is the fuel pressure and have you checked for KOEO fault codes?

Yes I hear the inline fuel pump
I replaced the starter like 8 months ago because old one went out the throttle body iac tps and distributer where me trying to fix a rough idle issue and it worked I replaced the inline fuel pump like 3 months ago because it had gone outthrottle cable was because it was frayed and only had like three strands left I've not checked fuel pressure or codes yet I didn't have the tools the obd1 ready and fuel pressure Guage should be here on the 9th. At the end of the day I have almost zero mechanical knowledge and now have spent alot of time on YouTube trying to figure it out

fuel pressure Sits at about 46 psi and it wont read any codes
If he can't get codes with the KOEO or KOER and a constant running fuel pump with the key in the RUN position and the engine off I'd say the computer is done. Since it's an 89 I couldn't help with removing the computer because I have no idea if it's the same way as my 94. My 2 cents is pull the computer out and inspect it. My guess is one of the three capacitors started leaking and/or something burned up on the motherboard.

No. Much easier. It is removed inside the cab.

To the left of the parking brake pedal. Behind the kick panel. Unscrew the 8 or 10mm bolt (can’t remember) in the engine compartment. Disconnect the wiring. Inside the cab remove the kick panel, 8mm bolt and the retaining clip. Remove the computer.
