Hello All, My 2010 Ford 4.6 L F-150 XL's heater is blowing cold air. How can I tell whether it's my Thermostat or my blend door actuator? Appreciate your help... Thanks

Connect a scan tool and read CHT and/or ECT sensor. Should be around 200°F if the thermostat is working.
Connected my Ancel Reader and got a B1081 message (Left Temperature Damper Motor). Because the reader groups all all 2009-2014 F-150s into the same categorie (as though they're all identical :-{), I poked around the internet and found that most all advice pointed towards replacing the Blend Door Actuator. I'm pulling the trigger and going to replace the actuator over the coming weekend.
Wouldn't have gotten here without your initial advice. I APPRECIATE you kind Sir!!!

Do NOT turn the key on until after you've properly installed the new actuator. Once it's installed turn the key to the on position but don't start the truck, give the eatc module time to calibrate the new acutator, only takes about 30 secs. Then start the truck and use the controls as normal to check for proper operation. Run it full hot and wait for temp to rise, then run it full cold.
