Never used one but seems like a good choice if you want to add an overdrive automatic to your FE.

High Impact Transmission sells a complete kit to swap a NV4500 into a Ford truck as another option. It's not cheap. The Speed Gem kits look nice and they have several videos on FE install with different transmissions for Ford trucks. Good luck and keep all up to date if you do the swap.

I used one in my galaxie to swap from the old 4 speed to a 5 speed.
