I strongly recommend getting OEM caliper pins. If you compare the aftermarket ones, you will see the difference. Cheap crap pins from the big box parts store are $10 a pair. OEM pins are $20 a pair. The only reason I needed new ones is because I over torqued and broke one.
They are labeled Motor-Craft so they should be fine. I ordered 2 set's now and will order two more this coming week. I figure I will just replace them all since the one that was frozen was pretty nasty. I cleaned and soaked with lubricate but all it does is turn some but not moving in and out like it should. I will have to remove the caliper holder and heat it with a torch so I can get the pins out. I need to get some brake lube anyway. Thought I was getting away from working on a truck.lol. My 96 still needs a couple of more things done before I can sell it. Starter is acting up on it. Selling it to a guy at work ( If he doesn't back out).
You can try cleaning the bore where the pins go with a bore brush for a .40 or .45 cal barrel. But if it’s corroded too bad, it may be time for new calipers.
The calipers themselves are good so far. It's the brackets I wont know till I can get in there and remove the pins to clean out the holes. Under boot was nasty but only one didn't come back like it should. This is why I am just going to do a good cleaning with brake lube and new pins. Being I live on a dirt road with bad water puddles means this maintenance is pretty much routine for me to go through them a few times during the year. My road gets pretty bad like it is now with all this rain. The one puddle in front of my home is about 2ft deep.
At least I will create a service file for the truck:
I use the ‘Road Trip,’ App on my Phone and also Sync the App on my iPad. Keeps track of all my Service and Maintenance. Reminds me when things are due again. Also does the MPG, and updates when entering Fuel Amounts and mileage. I keep track of everything that has a Gas Motor, including Lawn Equipment.

I meant to answer saying Yes I bought OEM pins. They ran about almost $30 a set.

I will have to check on that. I have a Android phone.
