Going to steel wheels on my ‘77 F-250. After some research, the steel wheels from the 8-lug Econoline’s seem to be the popular choice. Does anyone know the breakdown for years if there are any differences between sizes? Specially width? Thanks.
Are you looking for 16” or 16.5”? Better tire selection in 16” but you might need 16.5” to clear front calipers.

16s. Test fit a steel 16” E-series wheel I found at the local salvage yard and she cleared without any issues. Reason for the post is I picked those 3 up at the salvage yard today and the test one I found last week is 7” wide vs these 3 being 6” wide. Wondering when the years were that they changed or is it an E-250 vs E-350 thing?
Good question. I’m 99.44% sure steelies on 92-07 E250/350 SRW are 16x7, more specifically 7J16 ET6.35 What varies is spec tire width of 225 or 245. Econolines kept the 8x6.5 pattern when F-series 8 bolts changed to 8x170.
