Why didn't he just grab a 12 guage out of his truck with slugs and shoot it once in the heart.
I witnesssed a state cop shot a moose once. From about 30 ft, 1 shot in the head with a 9mm, the Moose droped almost instantly, but twitched for about 15 seconds or so.
Good God. You sure you don't live in Detroit, Hyper? That sounds like something those trigger happy idiots would do. One cop still on the force has cost the city almost 8 million in wrongful death lawsuits.

OUCH that will leave a mark.........but deserving.
The Detroit PD wasn't rated one of the worst if not the worst departments in the nation for nothing. They have to have a federal monitor/babysitter that costs them big bucks. Which they paid late and were fined. Basically due to instances where people were detained unlawfully, had drugs/weapons planted on them, false police reports, and a bunch of other bad stuff. The chief just resigned because of a gun/plane scandal much to the delight of the force. He made somewhat of an effort towards responsibility for ones actions and to face the music if you've done wrong. They don't like to play by the rules. It's fubar from the top down. Don't worry about the crime. Worry about the "crime fighters" in that city. It's like the wild west.

LOL Lectrocuted,
He did say he grew up in Pittsburgh and the biggest animals he was used to seeing there were the sewer rats. Maybe those need to be shot that many times before they're dead ?!?!
2 stories- a deer was hit and crawled into my dads field... it had been there for a few days with a broken back before they discovered it. dad calls cops, 1st car shows up - officer; "i cant shoot it, too much paperwork to register the shots fired" 2nd car shows up "i cant shoot it, too much paperwork to register the shots fired" 3rd car shows up Sargent this time... my dad says "why dont you just walk up to it with your pistol and finish it off" Sargent; "dont want to get blood on my uniform"
the Sargent grabs the 12 guage and shoots it from about 20 feet away.
when i worked at the truck shop, it was my first week there. the "stock yards" is about 1/2 mile away. a bull got loose- and ran through our parking lot. we had a huge hill that was covered with trees- the bull was hiding in it... there were police with sharp-shooter rifles all over the place. then they started shooting- i counted about 30 shots in about a minute and a half... hamburger anyone????

Sounds like you live near the ATF and FBI offices.
