Waterpump????

Got a 97 ford cc4x4sb with the 460 at 490000 miles and still running I decided to put a reman in it. Bought an engine from S&J engines out of Spokane WA. Waited 7 months to get. Everything looks ok, but noticed itis a 94 model according to date tag in oil valley, and yes it has the E7 heads instead of my F3 I had. My question is I've tried to research difference in a 94 to 97 waterpump with no prevail. I just know that flowcooler along with all others use different part#. I believe they all used the oil to water cooler.

As far as I knew there were 2 water pump casting styles used on the 460. An early shorter version where the water neck entered straight in on the left side and then the later one where the lower hose nipple points downward on the left side. I think this change happened around 1970. With that said there might be other differences in production, size of the shaft and the bolt pattern on the flange. You might have to get both pumps and take a look.
