After rebuilding my 351w I went to go crank it up.I cranked but did not start. I made sure timing wasn’t 180 degrees off, so timing should be about right. I check my carb for fuel and it seemed good. So I tested for spark, and saw no spark from my ignition coil. The ignition coil was getting spark 3 months ago before the rebuild, so I would imagine the coil is still fine. So how should I best go about troubleshooting further? Some sort of wiring problem? My knowledge in that area is limited.
Get a testlight. Harbor Freight has them cheap. Get the cheap one with the little regular bulb in it. Take the testlight, clip the one lead to a good ground, and probe the NEGATIVE of the coil (one of the small terminals). Get someone to crank it over while you do this. The testlight should blink on and off when it's cranking over. If not, move the probe from the negative to the positive terminal of the coil. With the key on, you should have a constant light.
Do you have the DSII system? If you do, you have a large square silver box on the driver's side inner fender correct?

im unsure the specs of it, but yes it is on the drivers side inner fender
It cranks, barely turns over once and stops, it’s so close might just be the timing.
Please elaborate. Does the starter system reliably get the crankshaft spinning at a healthy speed, even if the engine won't run after you release the key? If the starter speed is slow or erratic, please look at this troubleshooting guide:

Please note that simple test disables the ignition to make sure improper timing isn't part of the equation.
it seems like it is spinning the crankshaft at a healthy speed. It will crank fine, barely bump over once like it’s about to start then go back to cranking and the cycle keeps going.
