I thought i fixed code P301

2016 f150 v6 3.5 turbo.
So I got the code for misfire on 1. Ford dealer said coil pack on 1 was bad and i need new plugs. $650. well they put a whole new engine in 4 years ago. Anyways I said no and bought the coil pack and put in. The truck is still running rough but no check engine light. I hooked up the read and it says PO301 Mis fire on 1. So what else could i check. When I replaced the coil pack I put plug #1 and it was was clean with nothing wrong with it and did not look to old.

The shade-tree mechanic trouble-shooting technique would be to swap the coil pack between #1 and another cylinder. If the problem moves to the other cylinder, then the coil pack is the issue. Step 2 would be to do the same thing with the spark plugs.

Agree with above^^^^^ Could also be a partially clogged injector and lastly a burned valve

Might double check wiring and harness for damage, maybe critters?

My Dad has a 2018 F250 that was getting P301. He had to replace the coil; as well as, the boots that fit over the spark plugs. Maybe you have a similar problem?

The chassis wiring harness to the COP's might have a failed connector too---a common problem with those fragile locking tabs. The only fix there is replacing that connector, Motorcraft # WPT-986.

The injector and spark plug boot are excellent ideas too!
