Slow up shift
!999 F150 4.6 automatic towing 4000 pound camper. After cresting hill at 3500 to 4000 rpm the truck seems slow to up shift. I find several discussions about down shift but nothing about up. The 4.6 sounds wound tight at 4000 rpm and wish it would shift. MPH holds at between 55 and 60. Is there an adjustment or is this normal.

It's normal, and there is no way to adjust it. It's in the software that schedules the shifts.
All you can do is to lift off the go pedal, let is shift, then get back into it. A tuner might be able to fix this. Or just put up with it.

Thanks, the old truck has just 92,000 miles on it and runs great. I guess it's last days it will have to work harder than the first 90,000.
