Thanks for sharing. Not a fan of the smaller impeller water pump and it's interesting that he stated if adding boost, that the lifters should be replaced.

The rockers are interesting. The new rocker appears to have an oil cup around the needle bearings.

Brian Wolfe and the REVan Evan YouTube channel is my favorite place to go to get information about the 7.3. If you don't know who Brian Wolfe is, search the internet. He wore many hats at Ford. He's the one who convinced Ford to go to a 7.3 pushrod V-8.

He likes investment castings because he believes they are stronger/stiffer. I like lower weight (inertia) as long as it is strong/stiff enough. Beyond the strength/stiffness question, I was intrigued by the cup over the bearing.

Yes, as others have said, VERY interesting, I've got a F-250 7.3 ordered, probably nothing of note different in the '24s vs the '23s, hoping it turns out to be a good engine/truck combo....

Why? Because it's dependent on rpm.

No failures that I'm aware of. My cous and Ford tech hasn't seen any failures

Extra moving parts and complexity that is not needed in the most important system in an engine.
