What's everyone seeing for trade in #'s on a 1-2 year old F350 6.7 Lariat or higher C/C LB? I just got a quote back from Granger Motors today for my like new 2022 F350 with 36k miles on it and they came back at 9k under KBB trade in pricing. I have traded trucks every 2 years since 2008 and the numbers have always been close to KBB.
When the dealer is like Grainger, and sells cheap, like under invoice, then they trade cheap too.
Depending on the sales tax situation, like it is sometimes advantageous tax-wise to trade for a little less and pay less sales tax, sell it outright or sell to another dealer.
The dealers are, more so than ever, playing the “used car market is soft” tune while wanting to charge ADM on new trucks and want you to think paying the ever higher sticker is doing you a favor
frankly I would recommend selling it yourself first and if no dice then get an offer from Carmax etc before walking into a dealer just so you have a baseline and be better informed.

Any feedback is welcome...
beginning of September, I waswhen my f450 was in the shop, I went buy a chevrolet dealer. Test drove a 2500, tried to see if they could get a dually, etc. Answer no.
but to see what numbers would bring (never intended to trade my 22 f350), but ran numbers so I could get idea for the f450.
2022 f350 srw crew cab long bed, 6.7L, fx4, moonroof. Lariat value package, 20in machined wheels, 5th wheel prep, bedliner, 8,500 miles and 11 months old. Sticker $78,500. Trade price was 78k, and he was selling the equivalent chevrolet silverado that had a sticker of 85k for 83k. It has same options my f350 had.
so f450 I would probably pull the dame 78k on trade with 24k miles and 18 months old.
I think your 450 brings more than you think with the current woes ford has making them prior to the strike.
tied to sell it to another ford dealer for 85k and didn't want to budge. But works out anyways, becuase I have not gotten a build date for my 2024 f450. Don't want to may sticker for a denali. But could stomach it if I got 10k over sticker on my f450 as I would make 20k on it, and get the new denali. Then trade it on my 2024 f450, and loose 10k, but all total i would roll into a new truck for free.

I suspect you are correct. These are the current KBB numbers on my 2023 450 Lariat with 6000 miles. I'll be getting rid of it if...when....my 2024 450 KR gets built.
BTW, I got 73K for my 2022 Lariat Ultimate 350 CCLB srw with 7k miles in May when I bought the 450. At the time, the dealer had over 40 2022 SuperDuty's on the lot. Mostly Gas XLT's.
My dealer was at the low end of KBB for my truck. Caravan was $6k under that. I should try Carmax for the heck of it. I have another dealer wanting pics of mine for an offer…might just take it to them this weekend and see. Thing is, the values are useless as my new truck won’t be here for another 2-3 months at best.
It depends on where you are and how the dealer operates, really.
I got full KBB value on my last trade, because they had serviced the truck since new and knew it was in pristine condition. They sold the truck in less than 2 weeks after it hit the lot.
We got full KBB value on my wife's truck when we traded that in as well, for the same reason - the only place it was ever serviced was in their service department. Her truck I think was sold before we actually traded it in, I never saw it on their used lot and it never hit their website, but they didn't have it 2 weeks later.
On a whim she took it to a different dealer before we traded it in, and was offered $4k less than our home dealer.
In our area, used vehicles are moving like crazy still. New ones not so much unless they are either stripped down or loaded out. I don't think they've got a Lariat on the lot, they're all base-XLTs or loaded out Platinums.
I was told by a few dealers that dealers use NADA guide pricing.
the NADA guide list auction sell prices.
Then, of course, after they get your trade….they sell at KBB.
Gotta love that game.
"here we have some brand new ____s that are top of the line, and don't let the rows of similar vehicles fool you, they are very desirable and we are doing you a favor by only charging you 5k over sticker"
Unless a dealer has crap loads of money stashed in a vault, they borrow to buy your trade. They pay interest just like we do. It's no longer a sellers market, Nor is it a buyers market. Interest rates are 9% and higher with Excellent credit! My 2019 I bought in 22 used @ 6.125% is a STEAL today! Same truck would be closer to 11% interest used. Not much of a market with interest rates so high.
