Head bolts

I have a 73 f100 I'm rebuilding the 302 and everyone says I should put thread sealer on the bottom bolts because they go into water jackets but mine appear to just bottom out in the block. I already installed them without sealer but now I'm second guessing my decision should I pull them out and put sealer and re torque them

The bottom 5 bolts that hold the head to the block

Older blocks were blind holes, no sealant needed, open holes were an 80/90's thing.
