I found the leak that I had mentioned in a previous post but when I press the button on the stalk nothing happens. Searches here yield all kinds of different fixes and answers as to whether or not there is a fuse underneath the hood to check and whether or not there are relays and where they are looking.
After replacing the VSM and 2 power door locks today along with a power window I am a bit tired of looking at wiring diagrams and was hoping for just one easy win.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
EDIT.....gotta smack the stalk for the washer fluid to come out on the front similar to other posts.
Glad you found the leak, was it along the passenger side under the rug when the tubing runs to the rear ?
Thank you!
It was under the rear passenger trim right at the center in plain view with a hole that was sprouting a geyser. I tried to find a 5/32 vacuum connector to make a union out of it but couldn't find one. Ended up grinding down a larger tee to make it happen.
After all that, I ended up running the rear and it sounded like a waterfall in the headliner.
Ironically I just got done reading one of your posts on that after discovering the disconnected check valve in the rear. Just ordered a check valve from Amazon.
People have reported that multi function stalk having chaffed wires in in the column. You may want to pull the column trims, possibly the wheel, and look at all the stalk wires. If I remember there is a black plastic sheathe tube protecting the wires out of the stalk, and this becomes dry, creases, and cracks, leaving the wires unprotected.
