need help now please

new to this forum hope im in the right location
I have two questions
1 the windshield wiper fluid pump no longer squirts fluid but the wipers still work i have a 1991 ford f150 king cab 4.9L v.6
does the fluid pump and wipers run off of the same fuse? it worked one day then after fixing a light it never worked again. could this piece have been stolen at a repair shop?
2 also problem with crime here need a practical way to secure hood with chain to protect battery. I was ripped off this morning . broke vent glass to enter. i see no easy way to put chain on hood on this 91 can anyone help???

thanks for any and all help
Im new to this forum and not good with computers took 1 hr to find how to post this and i dont know if im in the right place

well, as far as the washer pump, check, make sure its there, and then if not replace, if it is check for power at one of the wires while depressed with a test light, if power and no pump. replace pump. as far as locking the hood, i would sleep in the truck with a 12 guage, and when they smashed the window i would probly ask them what they were thinking, as there looking at my gun.

Nah im kiddin, but i would try to go maby from the hood latch down behind the grill to a bolt on the rad. support or something, and if crime is that bad i would get me a loud *** alarm. maby hook it up to a few airhorns to get attention, along with a starter imobilizer to slow em down.
