Off Topic (somewhat) - Borescope/inspection cameras?
I know a number of you folks have one of these tools and use them for inspecting engine internals and whatnot. I always figured these were very expensive, but I'm chasing down what I think might be a small coolant leak on our motorhome and thought one of these types of cameras could really help. Now, I should have asked here 1st, but instead dove deep into Amazon, particularly when I saw how INexpensive these are now! Pretty much all of what I looked at were units that use your smartphone for the display and connect via USB or wireless. I read tons of reviews and decided I wanted one with dual lens (forward and side) and also read up on any unit I was considering, what the feedback on the App was. I can think of a number of uses for one of these, especially at $26!!! Here's what I chose and it gets here Sunday - might not suit everyone's needs, but I thought I'd share:
I have two similar, one at 5.5mm so it can go through the injector bore.
They both have worked well for years. I’ve used them in the engine, around the engine, checking my HVAC, putting it on my gutter vac tool so I can watch the gutter cleaning, checking what’s in a wall before opening it with more than a drill, and of course, my nostrils.
They have helped with looking where connectors or fasteners were looking up into the engine bay. Just used extensively when replacing the turbo on the Edge 2.0L.
Bought them in 2017 and 2018. Sometimes I’ve wished for longer battery time.

One that I looked at had a small diameter camera, but it had weak depth of view (range of what's in focus?) and it might also have been one with a crappy app. I'll see what I think of this one when it comes in - I'm thinking many of the same uses...
