Real-time engine PIDs for 1996?

I've been interested in something like the Edge Insight CTS 83830 for monitoring discrete values for real time engine performance.

It can display up to eight inputs at once, but the number and type will depend on the particular engine and year.

What's the laundry list of traceable values available for the 1996 4.9L six?

you can get live readings for them from an appropriate piece of equipment.

This I know.

What are the maximum number of readings, and for what outputs, that you can expect for this engine?

I have a Auto X-Ray with freeze frame and monitor, but you never know what it will read till you hook it up, depends on vehicle. Does real good on Ford products, better than other makes, but I couldn't tell you what it would read on your vehicle. The manufacturer of any of them should be able to tell you what it reads for a specific vehicle. Unless tech support is in India like most.

Edge claims that the the Insight reports whatever the PCM reports. That means we only have to know what the PCM reports for this engine for 1996. I figured someone here was bound to know.

The Edge Insight says it will display up to eight readings at a time. Now I just have to figure out which eight. I'll give the tech support people a call.
