Hi all, my father bought an Explorer XLT 1998 recently, I don't have any experience with this model or newer EFI systems, it has about 150K miles and I guess the previous owner didn't make any kind of service/maintenance.
My questions is related to a difficult to start while hot, if engine is cold don't have any problem to start. Moreover if you applied heavy gas pedal it misfires. There is no Check engine light yet, I know I should start replacing spark plugs and cables and I want any advice.
A friend tell me it needs inyector cleaning, but shops offer 2 kind of services, one is on car using some sort of cleaner and a machine hose coneccted to engine and there is a different service wich needs remove inyectors, of course it's more expensive, What do you think???
