I personally wouldn't buy anything unless it's OEM but that's just me.

On 2001 and older the markers weren't prewired until production after 2/2001.

I did the ‘08 mirrors. I wired up the turn signals and marker lights. Great upgrade as the mirrors give a much better rear view.

why did you do 08? Isn’t the design the same? You do OEM or Trail Ridge?

Trail Ridge. ‘08 are not the same as OEM.

OEM towing mirror.

‘08 towing mirror. The magnified blind spot mirror is soooo much better.

Yes, I know they are not OEM. My question was for the one that installed 08and wired themself, my question was OEM or not. you can get OEM 08's from a junk yard and make them work.

I did the ‘08 style on mine years ago, got mine from A1Auto prior to their Trail Ridge model, way before the the latest style was introduced on the pickups. They were 100% plug and play on my ‘05, that came with the baby paddle mirrors, the ‘08s have power, heat, turn and running lights. Between the 3 versions I prefer the ‘08s full rectangular shape vs the clipped top corner of the late model ones, personal preference, the reason they make all of those ice cream flavors. My EX is our dedicated tow rig, so the mirrors are almost always extend and they don’t vibrate at all, I’m very happy with them at about the 10 year mark.

I second that! Mine are about 4 yrs old and I don’t know what I’d do without them…

Well, I have an 03, and they do not light up for markers. Only light up for turn signals. I wonder what it would take to get them working as marker lights as well as turn signals?

All you have to do is run a wire from the mirror on both sides to the headlight switch and tap the brown wire. Done, very simple, there are a few write up in the sticky thread.

What is the Trail Ridge part number for these in black? I'm not interested in the paint to match or chrome options.
Why does the lower convex mirror not extend full width like the upper mirror? Does that little black spacer serve a purpose?

TRMRP00019 is the set I got. This does not have power fold. It had both chrome and paint to match…which is black like the rest of the mirror (unless you paint it). Not sure why the convex mirror doesn’t go full width but it is still way better than OEM. Not sure what little black spacer you’re referring to.

Thanks! This explains why I could not find a black option. The black spacer fills the gap left from the convex mirror. I wasn't sure if it had another purpose, but apparently not.
