I beam question

Does my bushing at the end of the I beam itself need to be flushed against the I beam or is it fine like it is now?

Yes, it should be all the way in. You can use a couple of sockets and a vise to seat it but a bushing press is easier.

Mine were not flushed, the sleeve is just about centered on 3 trucks I've had apart.. Best to look in shop manual. Or look under some original trucks. Vans were the same.
