Hey fellas, quick question for ya. I have an E99 SD and my battery cables are corroded beyond repair. Going into winter I’ve gotta get this sorted haha.
Anything special I need to look out for where my truck is an early 99? Was hoping for a direct fit and better than stock cables.
Was eying down this kit unless you’d recommend something different? https://kcturbos.com/products/xdp-7-3l-powerstroke-replacement-battery-cable-set-1999-2003
The E99 cables are going to be different. 1) there is no AIH and 2) there is a starter solenoid on the passenger's side fender. And there may be more to it that I am not aware of.

All the battery cable kits I've seen do not come with aih cables it's a separate cable tied into alternator and glow plug harness. Also l99 up until 02ish or so still have a starter relay on the passenger side.
For the positive cable that will fit a 1994-2001 Powerstroke, go to NAPA and order this. You'll have to separate (or just cut off) the dual wire harness connector at the solenoid on the fender but the 2/0 cable and lead terminals are MINT!

I thought it's '01 was the last year for the fender solenoid. And after that, where do the alternator, AIH and GPR come off of? On mine, with no AIH, the alt and GPR come off of that solenoid.

They are easily modified to fit an 02-03.
With all the inquiries regarding new cables, that's the first I've seen that one. Made in USA, might be DEKA, I believe that's who makes NAPA's batteries.
So to close the books on this tread I ended up finding this on rock auto. The description wasn’t great but the picture looked right haha. For just over $100 shipped I figured why not.
Fitment is great on my E99. Huge 2/0 cables between the two batteries and then down to the starter. 90* end for the stock style starter too.
Truck spins over much better now I don’t think my old cables would have lasted the winter—yikes!
