I need to replace the battery cables on my truck, but I don't want the stock style (lead ends that connect at the battery). The newer PSD's have a different battery connection style, will these cables work on my '99? Or does anybody have any recommendations for replacements?
the Stealer wanted $250 for just the positive, so I found a parts place that will make them for $50. that is what I am going for when I change my batteries out.
good luck. but I will be watching this thread to see what others have to say
yeah I can't see paying $250 for just the one long cable that connects my battery. I know the price of copper has gone up, but dam. guess theyf Ford is just tring to re-coup there losses lol
Good luck.
oh when they were going to make mine, they would use the old one as a template, so it had to be out of the truck. helps get the lenth right.
You might also check with some of the car audio shops, as they are always upgrading these parts for their high wattage stereos. You might also find you can get most of everything to make your own off ebay for the same or less than having one made. Jut some thoughts.
Thanks cangim, Ebay might be worth a look. Also good prices on your links amiller93, although I wish they had a better description of the materials and construction.
