2001 4.6W Replacing all the timing chain componants. The kit had two spacers for the tensioners. There wasn't a spacer on either of the original tensioners. Called the manufacturer of the parts and didn't want to stay on the phone for 2 hours waiting. The old parts look identical to the new ones. I'm thinking maybe the spacers are to limit the amount of oil going into the tensioner if there is a high pressure/volume oil pump installed, any answers? Cheers

the chains were actually rubbing on the shaft on the tensioner. I noticed right off that someone change the tensioners recently. Bolts mixed up etc. the tension shafts (plungers) had come through the guides. most likely to much oil pressure getting to the tensioner. Thanks for info.
