Hello all,
I am trying to find a source for the roller at the slipper end of the front leaf spring on my '66 F250 4X4. I am not sure what it is actually called but regardless on what term I try to use, I come up with bupkis. Searching on this forum, I did find a graphic of the parts catalog that someone posted and it shows a number of 5A342 but it is preceded with a little star and I am not sure what that signifies as to the prefix.
I see a lot of trailer parts suppliers show slipper leaf springs so maybe if I had the dimensions of the actual part, I might be able to see if they have anything that would work but all I have on the truck is the pin that runs through the center.
Can anyone give me a hand with this or a source for the part?
Thank you for your reply & offer!! Yes, if you could get me some basic dimensions, I would appreciate it. Since it seems they are unavailable, I was thinking of trying to find some polyurethane bushings that could be modified to work or try to turn down some UHMW plastic stock to fit.
