E4OD Won't shift from Park, except w/key in Access. Position will shift

E4OD Won't shift from Park, except w/key in Access. Position will shift

@Mark Kovalsky et al.,

This started about 4 months ago. My 1995 Ford Bronco E.B. with the 5.8L engine and the E4OD transmission will not shift from Park to gears. But w/key in the Accessory Position it will shift into the gears plus neutral.

So to start it the vehicle. I have to do this:

1. Start the engine.
2. Stop the engine by moving key into the Accessory Position.
3. Move the shifter into Neutral.
4. Start the engine, shift from Neutral into gear.
5. With engine running, shift into Drive and go.
6. Note: If at any time I shift into Park, for instance in a parking lot, I cannot get it to shift into any gear or neutral and I need to restart the above process.

I read Mr. Kovalsky's post with photo about the two torx bolts coming out of the back under the steering column. I have checked and that is NOT my problem.

Any suggestions?

Any things I should check or photo and post up to help you help me better?
