Not been on here for a while for a few reasons: wife was really not well for a long time, I was not too good myself (still not) and looking after her and the farm, and the truck has spent the last 2 years clocking up the miles and oil changes without any problems at all.
Anyway, got told 2 weeks ago that the rust has got too serious to go through the inspection again. I looked at a couple of 6.0L but they either went quickly or weren't right and ended up signing for a 2015 F350 6.7L crew cab long bed XLT. I'll get insurance and finance sorted next week and should pick it up before the end of the month. In the meantime the 6.0L got cleaned up, I've taken the photos, and will be posting soon, priced to sell. I hope the new one lasts at least as long as the old one did - around 10 years.
It’s registered in Germany but both countries use a lot of salt. Did quite a bit of work to the frame 2 years ago but it has got worse, and the cab is pretty bad too now. I’m sure it can be saved, but I don’t have the skills to do it, or the funds to get anyone else to do it.
