What to get.....?
Given your assumed limited exposure to road salt, the pan is a very easy swap. If you want to save a few bucks, I would go the dorman route for the drain plug. The 10R140 is a thermally regulated environment, not sure the aftermarket pan will really be of much benefit. If you can handle a DPK, a pan swap is a breeze. I agree on the service intervals, I get leery anytime an OEM says the service interval is longer than the warranty period. I plan on servicing my 6R140 on 50-60k intervals. That has served me well on every other automatic transmission I have had.
Can someone with a 20 plus answer if they have no drain and no dipstick? Thanks.
And yes I agree with assessment for the R&R for Chad on the replacement trans pan.

So yeah, while there's no performance enhancement here, there's the initial mess of removing the no drain factory pan, but leave two bolts in on the end and let it hang to drain into said large drain pan, measure how much you get out, add the additional amount of the aftermarket pan you buy and wellah, you know exactly how much Mercon LV to add with your new drainable transmission pan at the interval YOU select and not what the factory tells you. Seems like a win win for a guy who wants to do a drain and fill when he wants, and makes it easier to do a trans filter change as well.

Well, looking at the link provided about a dipstick for the 10R140, it seems to be a PITA as the fill port is on the trans itself and there's no fill tube...
Being a guy who likes to change out trans fluid will not be easy with these new trucks with the 10R140s. I'll keep my old 16... **** that.
"Same procedure as before, only now you have to get the plug in mini dipstick from ford and access the transmission from below the truck. The dipstick port is on the front passenger side of the transmission where the done away with engine compartment dipstick tube used to plug in."
"If you follow the procedure it will be at the correct level. If you are not a fan of being under the truck with it running then this service is not for you
- remove fill plug on side of trans
- put some fluid in
- start the engine
- add more fluid until it comes out the fill hole
- install fill plug
- go for a drive getting trans up to temp so fluid goes through cooler pushing out any air
- remove fill plug, if fluid comes out allow to drain, if no fluid comes out add until it comes out
- install fill plug"

Love the comments in that thread...

I wonder if you were to find out the thread size of the factory plug in the 10R140 by maybe ordering one, can't be too expensive, than contact Holley/B&M about what the thread size of their adapter which goes into the trans, or get an adapter to thread their adapter into...
Here's the part:

Here's the link to the Holley page:
https://www.holley.com/products/driv...ks/parts/22200
Includes the install instructions... this may be worth looking into if you can figure this out and get adapters if need be to mount it in the 10R140 and use this...

"For those of you who want a dipstick tube you can thread something into the fill port on the passenger side of the transmission. Id bet you could even find a Ford tube from another model thats the right diameter and thread it in, then verify the transmission is at the appropriate level and mark the dipstick accordingly.
Im all for servicing my transmissions around the 30k mark and have had many of original transmission in a working truck exceed 300k with that practice. On the other hand I have a whole bunch of customer trucks that follow the Ford recommendation of 150k. Those customers even refuse my service of checking the fluid while changing the oil. I dont see many of those trucks past the 150k mile mark to verify if the transmission is holding out or not but none have failed while in the possession of my customers. The one truck I kept from the sale of my business is a 2022 6R100 equipped F250. I dont put many miles on it but only use it to tow 13k minimum and 16k maximum. Im going to take Ford at their word of a 150K change interval and try it out. If the transmission fails ill be the one replacing it even if under warranty because I own a Ford certified service center, so ill see first hand if it was fluid related or something else."

Looks like it would be a challenge reaching the fill port on these 10R140s...

On the 16 everytime I hookup the 5th wheel. Dipstick is right next to the oil dipstick.
