So what one you going to Selma show with the red car or the drag strip with the silver car

Feeling a little better but still on the mend. They say I cant share Covid after 5 days and that is Thru.
I have my eye needle on Friday I hope to keep as it will be 9 weeks. It should of been 8 weeks but doctor was out at 8 weeks.

I will go to Selma with the red car. Last time I drove it, in the rain up to Mt Zion and back, the fuel gauge stopped working. Went straight to FULL and stays there. I'll need to replace that sending unit I guess. But have busy with a bunch of other stuff this week.

As of today you're no longer contagious! Hope you feel better and can make your appt tomorrow for the eye needle.

Well when you cant sleep you get up at 3am and clean the garage so the wife can get her car in for winter.
Her side was covered in paint cans and flooring from all the work she had done on the 3 baths and all flooring.

Trash was loaded in the pick up and I then changed the cap & rotor to see if that fixed the little miss I feel when driving.
I dont know if I feel a miss or "think" I feel a miss

Plan now is to put miles on it and check the plugs to see what they look like.
I have a eye Dr tomorrow appt in Clayton and the Selma show Saturday.
I want to drive it to work next week that would be just under 400 miles.
Then pull the club trailer to the food hall Sunday the 29th.
With all the miles I think I can pull the plugs and see what they look like and go from there on any fixes that might be needed.

The only thing I have not changed in the IGN system is the pick up coil in the dist.
I just dont know if I am feeling a miss or think I feel it??

Once you had that issue you become hyper-sensitive to it! I guess it will tell for sure when its under load. I think we got quite a few planning to go to Selma this weekend.

You are right and that is what I might be feeling and why I want to get some miles on it.

I had to make the trip to Clayton twice
I forgot my wallet and they would not take me with out paying. Some new rule even after going for 8 years and always pay co-pay & bal when I am there.
Would have been 1 or 2 more weeks before they could take me again and in the middle of the week that I cant do as I cant rest my eye.
I was already at 9 weeks on a 8 weeks between shots so did not know what more time would do so home to get wallet.

2 good things came of it. Truck ran great, 70 to 75 MPH going the first time 70 the rest.
I am now up to 10 weeks between shots so I go next year. That is strange as it was 4 weeks for a vary long time.

So this Selma show we meeting up some place or we show up when we show up?
I should look up where it is as I have not yet.

I added to the log book I keep in the truck to track MPG and going over it I came up with:
This time in 2019 I took the truck out for it's first test drive that did not go to good
Lost brakes half way on the test and the clutch linkage broke pulling in the drive.
Good thing for a large yard I could shut it off and cost to a stop LOL

Between then and now I have put 28,000 miles on the truck
I thought it was maybe 10k to 15k not almost 30k
So I guess it was time for the complete tune up.
Should be good for another 30k

Oh yeah you definitely put some miles on it in the past 4 years! That is good that she is running well. I know you don't do facebuuk but I think maybe you can still see the album with pics from the Johnston church car show. None of us went to Dunn Benson race track for their car show, but Piedmont did and said 200-250 cars were there.

Johnston Community Church in Pine Level (with a Selma address because Pine Level doesn't do any rural routes!)

Nice pictures thanks.
Looks like they has a good turn out after the rain out the week before.
It is nice to get out a little farther as you see different cars / trucks.
That is what I liked about the food hall cruise as we had a lot of different cars show up.

I hope to go to work Thur and Fri. Hope they dont work me too hard.
I am not up long and I want to go back to bed for a few hours.
I want to get out and check that rear tire why it keeps loosing air.
Going to force myself tomorrow to do that.

Hey Fuzz how have you been doing? Still feeling weak and tired from covid, or are you over the hump now?
My son-in-law got bit on the hand by a copperhead, had to go to the ER and get anti-venom. That was a week ago and he still can't bend his finger, they told him might be weeks or even months before he regains full use.
The St Jude car show committee had a meeting / cruise-in at the Hwy 55 Burgers in Dunn last night. We (the parking people) should be there around 7am, and we need to use our "Car Show --> " signs from the Southland trailer, apparently we are the only ones who have any!

I am a lot better but by the end of the day I am shot LOL

WOW bit by a snake! I hate snakes.
When I clean up the yard and throw the brush in a pile out back I worry about snakes.
Hope he recovers sooner than later.

I will grab the signs from the trailer.
Any thing else you can think of let me know.
I am home now but I will text you later to talk if meeting somewhere or just showing up there?

Well being the show was canceled, weather I guess? and I had to do the weekly trash run the signs went back in the trailer.

Oh did I say between washing the truck yesterday and loading the signs the wipers on the truck only work on high
They worked on low after the wash, drove to the trailer loaded signs and then only high.
After checking on line was told it could be the intermittent delay box.
Because it is mounted close to the parking brake every time you release it it bangs and shakes the box and the connections inside go bad.

Well makes sense being I left the truck running when loading the signs and brake was on, release it and turned on the wipers and only high.
Was also told it could be the ground wire that the box has but I dont think I will be that lucky.

There is a fix if it is the connections inside and then need to mount it so it dose not take a hit when the parking brake is used.

I could sure have used intermittent wipers yesterday! Since nobody really wanted to go to Angier to attend that show, I loaded up the trailer and went to Builders Discount Center in Goldsboro for 145 12 foot 2x4's. That was quite a load! Sprinkled enough that you need the wipers every few seconds, but not enough that you could just leave them on.

I did some quick math, google says a 12 foot 2x4 is 17.9 pounds. 145 of them is right at 2600 pounds.

She complained every time we had to go up a hill but she did her job anyway

Andre arranged a cruise-in down on 301 in Dunn at the old folks home, I don't know if you got the flyer or not, because I can't remember if he had this worked out before our Old North State thing 2 weeks ago.

The rain should be over by start time.

Dave, Thank you again for fixing the distributor. I'm going to order a new distributor cap before I forget, that way I have everything handy if I need it.

I found an extra screw to use on that housing, you were right about it being metric; it was 4mm.

Unfortunately the only 4mm screws I had are allen head, so it's not likely I'd have that in my tool box on the side of the road!

I have these cheap horns from ebay on my Mustang, they are not impressive. Weak and meek are the words I would use to describe them.

From memory, I knew had one bad horn originally, so I just bought a replacement set and tossed the old ones in my box. Well, I had three in the box, not two. Maybe two from the Mustang, one from the F100, or vice versa. But I could not get ANY of the three to work. I took the horn off the spare-parts 81 and it works fine, but I could only find one horn. I thought Ford always did a pair, with hi-tone and lo-tone. But I checked the 83 F100 and it only had one horn also. Not as loud as I had hoped. But I've got to keep poking around to see if I can find another horn somewhere.

That was a good load on that trailer.
How did you find 145 good ones

It is good you marked the Dist. as I did not want someone thinking the way I marked the cap that dist was also bad.

As I said I would have put that other dist. together some what but there was no screws or clips to do so

Yep the 80 - 86 trucks only came with 1 horn and not vary loud at that
I think the higher end models cam with 2 horns?
Did you sell the want to be 6? drag mustang maybe it has horns?
Then again it might be best just to buy new ones at the parts store or on line.

As you know I did know about the cruise and brought the show signs. Had a nice showing of cars & trucks.
How did the word get out as we had some I had never seen before, that is nice.

Talking crises this Saturday the 18th did I hear the car & coffee in Clayton has been canceled on buss 70 or was that just hear say?
What about Jordan's in Benson in the evening?
When I got sick and could not make them I dont know what is going on any more

I think most places just sell after-market horns. I did see Dynacorn reproduction horns for $165 a pair, but that is not the kind of resolution to my problem that I want! lol. The 67 and the Fairlane, neither have any horns, so somebody already removed them. I was wondering if there is a way to get the old horns to work, so I tried smacking the center with a hammer, no change. There is a screw in each one, so I tried turning it and turning it back, just so I could say it's not frozen, but that didn't do anything either.

The Clayton Cars & Coffee at the church parking lot next to McDonalds got canceled, my understanding is that some tuner cars were doing donuts in the parking lot and the church just said "this is not what we envisioned the parking being used for" and asked the cars & coffee organizers to stop coming. I just saw yesterday that they have found a new location:

Cars & Coffee Clayton
This Saturday, new Location:
1000 Garner Business Park Drive
(the new LKQ building)
