I saw this cabovers on eBay last night and saw something I never noticed before. The battery access panel is more inboard than the conventional cabs. I suppose this is because of the location of the front wheel.
Probably has more to do with the subframe that the COE cab is built on that sits over the main frame rails. The tray appears to mount inboard on the right front corner. The wheels are further out and wouldn't intrude into the cab space.
