Hey there.
I’ve got a 76 F100 that was originally a 460 C6. And my plan is to swap in a fresh rebuilt 390FE C6 out of an 68 F100 into the truck. Now I do have the proper perches. However I have a few proplems
the builder never gave me the following
alternator brackets
power steering brackets
crank pulley
water pump pulley
mechanical fan blade.
not huge items. But heck. They are expensive to buy brand new. All shiny and ****. I really don’t wanna spend that money right now. And the builder lives 10
hours away from me. So taking that trip to hunt those parts down ain’t worth it either.
are those parts interchangeable from another engine family. Like the modified and 400 family. Or anything like that? TIA
No needs to be FE engine for easy bolt on. Just get everything off of the same engine 65 or newer and same amount of bolts in balancer. You did get a 65 or newer 390 correct?
I know the FT was very similar and parts are interchangeable from the medium duty trucks. Anyone know if anything from that would work? That's all I got.

thanks for the info. Yeah. The 390 I have is out of a 68F100. I managed to find a guy local to me that had a 390 in a 70s 1 ton. And pulled pulleys and brackets off. Hopefully they work out. 🤞. They should.
