I have an issue with my 2020 Super duty.
Starting this afternoon, the horn will go off continuously without any input to the remote, or in the vehicle. It's not "honking" like the alarm, it is a continuous sound like someone is leaning on the horn on the steering wheel. The sound would not stop if I turned the truck on or off. The first few times this happened, I was able to get it to stop by triggering the panic button on the remote on and off. But the last time, I finally had to pull the horn fuse in the engine bay box. The horn was continuous, turning the truck on and off, opening doors and even driving down the road.
Not sure where to begin diagnosing the issue. It has been pouring rain today so I am not sure if I got water in the steering column from getting in and out of the truck. But the first time it happened, it was 4-5 hours after I last ran the truck.
Any chance you’re still in your 36mo/36k bumper to bumper warranty? If so, I’d unplug the horn and take it to the dealer.
If not, try replacing the horn relay on the off chance it might be acting up. I’d just swap it for a like relay in the same box and see if the trouble moves with it.
