Knock Sensor

2015 f450 just had a new engine and trans installed. I am getting codes for knock sensor failure and it puffs white smoke on startup. Would the knock sensor cause this?

I do not want to take it back to the dealership where the work was done because I am very unhappy with their performance

I have no idea. Should be on lower engine block above oil pan rail , at least that’s where the were in th3 90’s
