Couple three days, figured I would top of all the trucks with DEF before we move shops, normal fill out of 275 gal tote. While filling my 550, I checked the gauge and I started at quarter tank. Minute later, the gun clicked off. Is normal. The gauge still showed quarter.
Being a flatbed and the angle of the fill tube sucks, I cannot fill @ truck stops normally because they fill too fast. Sort of habit. I tend to click it a couple more times to make sure it's full.
Anyways, carried about my business is normal than about two days later I got a 500 mile warning. Thought that was odd, they can maybe I never actually filled it up and might have been an air pocket or a bubble or something when topping off few days prior. Wednesday morning, drove about 150 mi, (now in the 350 range to E) , forgot to top off the tank when I was at the shop. Thursday, truck sat all day.
Yesterday, as I was leaving the house going to work noticed it was now at 500 miles to empty, I thought that was very strange. They normally don't reset like that .Got to the shop, grab the jug and it barely took anything.
Well looks like after 300,000 mi I finally have my first emission problem. Damn level sensor is jacked up. Since we're in a middle of a shop move, my scanners are packed up in a semi trailer.
Go figure right. Anybody got any cheats on how to reset or bypass, fool the CPU until next week?
