I'm in the middle of some DIY upgrades on my 1994 4WD F150, and I'm trying to beef up the radius arm mount. Unfortunately, I can't remove it at the moment. Do any of you happen to have the measurements for the frame holes where the radius arm goes? It would be a huge help in getting this project done right. Thanks a bunch!
If you mean the bolt/rivet holes...they're about 7/16", but I don't know exactly. I drilled mine to 1/2" so I could use known-sized and easy to obtain bolts when I put it back together.
I have a spare set somewhere I can measure sometime today.
My question is what are you trying to beef up on them? I've run a radius arm converted Dana 60 on 38s with stock mounts and not hurt anything. And it was not treated kindly.
I get what you're doing now, but I don't have an example right now to measure. I will say that you can't necessarily go by the rivet tops/centers. Just about all I've removed from the single frame I've worked on had the rivets pounded well into the holes, but those holes didn't always line up straight through. It's like the rivets were somewhat smaller than the holes and during the pounding/pressing/setting of them they would offset themselves pretty often. Fine if you want the bracket held in place, not fine if you wish for the hole in the frame to line up with the hole in the bracket. But maybe this was by design to allow for a loose tolerance in hole placement. I don't know.
