What is the purpose of f150 radius arm

A brace or stabilizer. That's what purpose it would seem to serve as I look at it anyway. Someone else may give you a better answer.

You have it. Keeps the axles in alignment. Without them, the axles would push backwards as soon as you moved forward since the only other mounts are inline. It needs to be triangulated.
