6.2 comparison

I've been driving my F150 with a twin turbo 2.7 all summer and it's pretty quick and I just started driving my 2013 F350 DRW and if felt really slow so I weighed the F150 and the DRW and was shocked that the F350 weighed 3000lbs more than the F150. DRW 8200 F150 5180. The DRW is loaded with my tools plus the 50gal aux tank and main tank are full the F150 has 3/4 of a tank in it's extended range tank. I'm guessing if I put 3000lbs on the F150 it would be a lot slower to but it couldn't take 3K load. The DRW will get another 3400lbs on 5th wheel hitch next week when we leave for the winter.

My 2012 6.2 dump body weighs roughly 9200lbs. It's not quick. It get the job done and makes my other vehicles, a gladiator and a Ram 2500, feel like sports cars. But I love the 6.2. I've had it in many configurations. The dump body is number 6. It's a dedicated work/plow truck. I specifically looked for the configuration. 6.2 with 4.30 gears, dually cc dump body 350. Bomb proof drive train. Not about winning any races.

I agree the 6.2 is my puller and I love the truck but the 2.7 twin turbo is a blast to drive but I use it as a car truck and save the DRW for the winter pulling our trailer down south.

I feel yah there! I have a steel flatbed on my 2014 and it normally weighs in around 8500 with full fuel, I do have 4.56's and 33's on it so its a bit snappier.. but its still a big truck! my wifes 2015 former police explorer with the 3.7 N/A V6 is pretty quick, could only imagine with a pair of turbos.
