I have the RDS 60 gallon in mine, transferred it from my old RAM, have been running it for almost 7 years now, best thing I ever bought for my truck(s), has saved me thousands over those 7 years.
I installed it myself in both trucks.
The 60 is the widest shallow tank that will fit between the front bed corners, so watch the width of whichever one you choose.
S&B makes a nice tank as well if you want to go the route of replacing the factory unit, or in addition to an aux and really extend your range. https://www.sbfilters.com/fuel-tanks

Thought about that but $1300+ for an extra 20 gal doesn't seem cost effective when I can add 80 in the bed for less. But if I need to, that would be my second choice.
Understood - no argument here and I do think pricing is tough to swallow. Some don't have an option for aux tank in bed so it is good that you can - my only regret on my truck was not getting the LB.

you can run the rds 45 gallon tank in a short bed. It only takes up 9 inches of bed space, and your chimsl camera still works with the gooseneck.

You can easily run the 60 gallon like I have in a short bed, it only takes up like 13 or 14 inches of bed length. My RAM was a short bed, and I still used it for towing 5th wheel trailers with the tank in the bed.
But, in my long bed F250, having the 48 gallon main tank, that 60 gallon bed tank makes it so you can go a very long ways on a fill up.

Depends on what you are doing - the GN was never the issue when I am towing with that. It is when I trip to Montana with the tag, that bed is packed and I am forcing the tailgate closed. There's zero inches left but I understand what you are saying - For me the only realistic option if I wanted to extend range was to replace the OE tank.
I’m running a Titan travel trekker in my 2022 350 DRW and it holds just under 59 gallons when I fill it up. It’s plumbed into the vent line of the 48 gallon tank from the factory and its controlled with a touchpad in the cab. I’m able to transfer about 5 gallons in a 10 minute pumping cycle while I’m going down the road. These pics are from when I installed it in my 2020 but it’s identical in my 2022. Transfer pump is on the driver side and my airlift wireless compressor is on the passenger side.
Just a random memory fyi, I read recently that TX is raising hell with transfer tanks with the pumps above the bedline. Saying in a rollover the pump could be broke off the top of the tank and dump fuel. Not being the tank popo but a random bit of info I read.

Not an issue at all since these tanks setup like RDS recommends, don't use a pump at all, gravity feed.
