Edit: I posted the following somehow thinking this was a 51/52 dash, not a 48-50. Read further postings for the 48-50 options.

They are out there under Ford Part Numbers 1C-17255-A and C9TZ-17255-C. Used on 51/52 trucks and 57/77 Parcel Delivery.

Used ones are almost always available on the internet auction site, and occasionally NOS ones can be procured from some of the specialty Ford vendors: https://www.dennis-carpenter.com/tru...ssy-1951-52-pu

Additionally, there are plenty of reference pictures online. It wouldn't be too terribly difficult to create your own decal (I'm unaware of a commercial offering of a decal for this particular setup). This may be the most cost effective way to achieve something functional.

so a 51-52 will work in a 48-50 dash and gauge panel

Speedometer cable part number and source:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/28177755406...Bk9SR5L38OfMYg

And here is the decal kit:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/25532445974...SABEgKU8fD_BwE

A rattle can of beige paint will fix up the front panel in an inexpensive manner. add the decals, shine up the bezel with '0000' steel wool and you are good to go.
51/52 Gauges are not an easy fit into the 48/50 dash.

The gauge assembly is actually easy to rejuvenate. The hardest part is getting the thing loose from the dash - need small hands and a very limber neck to see the fasteners and then take off the nuts that hold the wires on. Once the assembly is out and on a bench it is a piece of cake. Pay close attention to the direction of the amp gauge wire. Take photos of the back of the gauges before things get removed.
Just go gentle on the gauge faces when applying the decals. Also go slowly when bending back the little tabs that hold the bezel and glass to the housing.
You can check the operation of the gauges on the bench with two 'C' or 'D' cell batteries taped together to get 3 volts. 3 volts will give you full sweep, and one battery will give you approximately half-sweep. Even when working properly the gauges will sometimes take a little while to register, and may jump a bit. That is not unusual. It is a good feeling to have a nice clean gauge assembly with new decals installed. It's also a good feeling to get your head back out in daylight after being cramped up against the brake and clutch pedal while working under the dash.

Brain lapse! I forgot yours was a 50 (and you even stated so right there!!!) Proof that I'm only human.
; I'll blame the heatwave.

You got good information above from @pineconeford .

Another good thread on sprucing the cluster up: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...storation.html

Lastly, there are new replacements out there: https://www.dennis-carpenter.com/tru...ssy-1948-50-pu

I know you are still young and flexible but it is easier to get under the dash with the seat out.

on the 53-55 instrument clusters once you have the screws out you can pull it out through the hole in the dash instead of down and under the dash while fighting all those wires.

I know. I was saying that works with a 53-55 instrument panel so it might work on a 48-50.
