I had to replace the vacuum booster on my 97 F350. After I finished, I have no break lights and no trailer lights. The switch is new and everything works fine if I reach up and move the switch up or down but not when I just press on the pedal. I've checked all fuses and relays, nothing bad.I can't see what should be activating the switch when I press the pedal, the switch moves with the pedal, nothing to but pressure on the switch.
Check that rod from booster is making contact with switch. On a booster I bought in the past the rods thickness didn’t match the original and I had the same problem you are experiencing. I put a few shims in between the switch and rod.
I put shim at arrow until it would light up when lightly pressing down. Can you manually push switch and it lights up brakes?
